7/8/2020: The Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts has issued the AOPC Mask Memo regarding the wearing of masks in the courthouse, courtrooms and other court offices strongly recommending adherence to the July 1, 2020, Order of the Pennsylvania Secretary of Health requiring all individuals (subject to limited exceptions) to wear face coverings when interacting with others outside their household. For the safety of all concerned, the FCBA encourages all members of the Bar to comply with the Secretary’s Order, as well as to maintain social distancing, while in the courthouse and in all judicial proceedings to the extent possible.

Update on 2020 FCBA Bar Banquet and Bench Bar Conference
Cancellation of 2020 FCBA Bar Banquet and Bench Bar Conference
7/13/2020: Every year, we look forward to connecting with our membership at the Bar Banquet and Bench Bar Conference. As you know, in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we conducted a poll to gauge our members’ interest in attending a joint event this year. In consideration of the members' responses to the poll and safety concerns, the Board of Directors has decided to forego hosting the events this year.
This is not a decision that was taken lightly. Our primary concern is the responsibility to protect our attorneys, judges, and staff from the potential risks of a large gathering. Secondly, the non-refundable costs charged by the venue, as well as the uncertainty as to social distancing and other precautions at the venue which are out of our control, were also a consideration.
We thank everyone who shared their views in their responses to the poll and look forward to when we can safely gather together again.

FCBA 2020 Food Bank Drive
FCBA Food Bank Drive Matching Donation Challenge
June 2020: The FCBA issued a Food Bank Drive Matching Donation Challenge to support two local food banks to help ensure that no one goes hungry during the coronavirus pandemic. We are pleased to report that we received $700 in donations for the Fayette County Community Action Agency and $100 for the Connellsville Area Community Ministries. The Association will match these donations, and more, by making $1,500 donations to each.
Thank you to all who donated to this worthy cause in support of the least fortunate in our community!
